Garlic Pepper Chicken
Garlic just makes everything better. Well just about everything, except your breath. 😂 Lol. I’m a sucker for all things garlic and this recipe is no exception.
I seasoned some chicken drummettes with salt and pepper and popped them in the oven to get them nice and crispy. After, you just need toss them in some sesame oil, garlic and scallions and you have yourself a delicious meal in less than an hour.
- 12 Chicken Drummettes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 6 cloves of garlic chopped
- 2 stalks green onions chopped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450F.
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken and mix well.
In a small bowl, combine salt and pepper. Sprinkle salt mixture over chicken and toss making sure chicken is well coated.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread chicken evenly over the sheet and place in oven for 30 minutes. (About halfway through, turn drummettes over).
Chop garlic and green onion and set aside.
When chicken is almost done, add sesame oil to a medium skillet and saute garlic until garlic begins to brown. Add green onions and cook for 1 minute.
Turn oven to broil and let broil for additional 10-15 minutes depending on how crispy you prefer your chicken.
Remove chicken from oven and add chicken to skillet. Toss chicken in garlic mixture. I like to keep my stove on medium heat so the chicken continues to crisp, but be careful to make sure the garlic and scallions don't burn.
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve.
Enjoy!
