Charcuterie x Cheese Board 101

Charcuterie x Cheese Board 101

Theres so much to love about fall.

  • Pumpkin Spice lattes.. or pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING for that matter.

  • “sweater weather” (I guess depending on where you live, lol.)

  • Leaves changing color (it’s like nature’s very own vsco filter)

  • Cozying up by the fireplace (Bring on the smores!)

…of course that means…

Christmas Carols on repeat, ugly sweaters, matching pajamas, and lots of Holiday parties!

And no holiday party is complete without an epic charcuterie and cheese board. It doubles as an amazing center piece to any head table and is the easiest way to impress your guests! You can load them up with all your favorite cheese, cured meats, nuts, fruit, and spreads.

There really is an art to creating a mouthwatering and photo-worthy platter, but it’s simple as long as you make sure to cover your bases!

Charcuterie & Cheese Board 101:

  • Choose your board—there are so many different types of cutting boards, slate boards, serving boards and some extra fancy ones even come with a built in cuttlery set.

  • Get Crackin'-- choose your favorite crackers and bread. I willlike to outline and arrange my board with crackers and breads first. This will help you arrange everything else around it.

Get Meaty—choose a variety of cured meats

    • Sopressata

    • Salami

    • Proscuitto

    • pepperoni

      Add Whatever you like!

  • Get Cheesy—you want to choose a variety of hard and soft cheeses as well as making sure that they vary milk types and color

    • Cheddar

    • Parmesean

    • Brie

    • Havarti

    • Gouda

    • Muenster

So many cheeses to choose from but make sure to get a good variety

  • Time to Jam—add of course different spreads, honey and jam

    • My absolute favorite is my SUPER EASY homemade Fig Jam

  • Get Fruity—mix a colorful variety of fresh fruit such as grapes, berries, apples, pomegranate. Using different colored fruits can bring your board to life. Adding dried fruits and nuts also adds texture and dimension.

  • A little Savory—olives, artichokes, roasted peppers springs & springs of rosemary as a final touch!

Have fun arranging and get creative! And of course make sure to grab a glass of wine and enjoy it as well!

Wishing you and your loved ones a safe and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

xoxo,

Su
